Teaching Men to Pray, Fast, and Lead

As a Country boy, born and raised in Alabama, my childhood was spent between two small, historic towns, Notasulga and Tuskegee, Alabama. I am a minister, and I have over 5 years of college ministry experience and 4 years of high school ministry experience. I have a tremendous heart for prayer and was exposed to 24 hour prayer and college ministry during my collegiate years at Morehouse College, a Historically Black College or Institution (HBCU) in Atlanta, GA. My college years were spent praying, fasting, and evangelizing with my friends. Now, I am more excited than ever to write books, mentor, lead, and minister.

Some of the principles that I live by as a man includes the following: Love, Faith, Hope, Godly Obedience, Family, Legacy, Consistency, Integrity, Discipleship, and Philanthropy.

I am happily married to Ebony D. James, my greatest supporter and ministry partner. Together, we have a very joyful and active son, Legend Elisha James.

I am the founder and president of Flames On The Altar (F.O.T.A.), a ministry that focuses on equipping and training churches and ministry leaders on how to plan and coordinate 24 hour prayer gatherings via in person gatherings, via conference calls, or via satellite. Through F.O.T.A., I teach on the power of intercession, and I aim to inspire the next generation to fervently seek God in prayer. My dream is to see and to facilitate revival amongst the youth of this nation.

I also have a heart to mentor the next generation, specifically, young men from high school to college age.

I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Morehouse College, a Master’s of Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health from The University of Memphis, and a Master’s of Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. I am currently completing a Doctorate of Education with a concentration in Curriculum & Instruction from Southeastern University.

I am a biology and AP computer science educator by profession.

I am multi-passionate, and I am full of expectancy for what the Lord will do through my life and others.
